John realised years ago that accounting is more than just producing tax returns and financial statements. He enjoys the challenges that drive results. It is important to look at the main drivers of successful business; things like cashflow management, business structuring and looking for those opportunities that can maximise profits and add value in your business. With that in mind, John started JRM Accounting in 2009
Natalie Weir started with John in 2012 and became Partner in 2018. Both partners contribute equally to the success of the business and provide professional support across a broad range of business disciplines. Client care is maintained by both partners, so that clients know their affairs are being reviewed and supported at the highest level.
The business name changed to JRM Weir in 2018 to reflect the contribution Natalie brings to our service offering.
John is the principal of JRM Weir and is responsible for providing expert technical advice to clients. John is a practical and approachable accountant with a broad range of clients in his portfolio. He is particularly proud of the long term established relationships he has with clients that have seen both himself and clients succeed. John is recognised as being commercially focused and proactive in maintaining close ties to clients as taxation and local conditions change. John believes strongly in the value of ongoing education. Teaching a number of accounting subjects at the local campus of Charles Sturt University was an important part of this commitment. Whilst working at a large local accounting practice he was the training facilitator and coordinator. Education and training remain at the forefront of his practice. Having lived in the area all his life, John has close connections in the local community, he is the father of four beautiful and talented children, he is a member of Rotary and serves on the boards of several community and charitable organisations. John holds a Bachelor of Business (Accounting) and a Graduate Diploma of Applied Science. He is a Chartered Accountant. John belongs to a number of industry associations including, CAANZ (Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand), NTAA (National Tax and Accountants Association) and the SMSF Association
Natalie's accounting skills and depth of business acumen are an invaluable contribution to the practice. Natalie has a strong family focus on Primary Production and it's ever changing environment. Natalie specialises in business establishment and guidance through those early formative years of business. JRM Weir has a strong vibrant client base in the trades and manufacturing, each with their own individual needs and industry for which Natalie brings considerable skill. Natalie also assists clients using the latest software & cloud based accounting packages such as Xero, MYOB, Phoenix or the myriad of other accounting software systems our clients might use. Self-Managed Superannuation is a key component of our clients wealth creation, for which Natalie brings considerable skill and expertise in strategy and administration for clients. Natalie has a Bachelor of Business (Accounting and Human Resources) and a Bachelor of Business (Business Management) and is a CPA.
Ange is a Wagga Wagga local, who has been in the accounting and business services industry for 16 years. She is all about connecting with clients, understanding them, and customising solutions to suit their specific needs. Ange is always excited and amazed at the extraordinary things that local people are working on and achieving! She has in-depth technical knowledge and business experience that supports her in looking after clients. She is able to understand client's circumstances and assist them in making the most of their financial circumstances, providing educated and innovative solutions. She considers providing support, education and training as an integral part of her role as an accountant and business advisor. Ange has a growth mindset and a real thirst to learn, she always comments that she gets as much from clients as they do from her. She loves a good info exchange! In addition to business advisory and taxation compliance, Ange specialises in all areas of self-managed superannuation funds (SMSF's), structuring advice, estate planning, asset acquisitions and digital accounting solutions consulting. Ange has completed a Bachelor of Business (Accounting/Financial Planning) and is a Chartered Accountant. She is an SMSF Association Accredited Specialist in addition to being a registered CA SMSF Specialist.
